Introduction
In this article, we will describe how you can change configure the SPF record on a DirectAdmin Server. We will make a small change in our DirectAdmin configuration which adds the needed include in the SPF record when a new domain is added to DirectAdmin.
Step 1: Log in with SSH
Log in as root. Please see this article for instructions if you don’t know how to connect.
Step 2: Configure the SPF records
Run the command below to configure the SPF record.
/usr/local/directadmin/directadmin set extra_spf_value " include:_spf.smtprelay.snel.com"
Step 3: Restart Directadmin
Apply the changes by restarting DirectAdmin.
systemctl restart directadmin
Conclusion
Congratulations, you have to change the DNS template of your DirectAdmin Server with the correct include if you are using the smarthost of Snel.com.
