Learn how to create subdomains in Plesk

In this article, we’re explaining how you can create a subdomain in Plesk. A subdomain is an additional part to your main domain. Subdomains are created to organize and navigate to different sections of your website.

Prerequisites

Step 1: Log into Plesk

Go to your client area and log in with your login credentials.

Navigate to My Dashboard and click on Webhosting. Click on the web host.

If you click on Login Details, you will see your login credentials.

Click on the URL above to log in.

Step 2: Creating a subdomain

Click on Websites and Domains. Then click on Add Subdomain.

  • Subdomain name: insert here the name of your subdomain.
  • Secure the domain with Let’s Encrypt: this is highly recommended. Insert your email address to receive important notifications and warnings.
  • Git Support: you can choose if you want remote Git or on a local repository.

When everything is filled in, click OK .

The subdomain is now created. If everything went successfully, you will see a green bar at the top.
