Learn how to create subdomains in Plesk
In this article, we’re explaining how you can create a subdomain in Plesk. A subdomain is an additional part to your main domain. Subdomains are created to organize and navigate to different sections of your website.
Prerequisites
Step 1: Log into Plesk
Go to your client area and log in with your login credentials.
Navigate to My Dashboard
and click on Webhosting
. Click on the web host.
If you click on Login Details
, you will see your login credentials.
Click on the URL above to log in.
Step 2: Creating a subdomain
Click on Websites and Domains
. Then click on Add Subdomain
.
- Subdomain name: insert here the name of your subdomain.
- Secure the domain with Let’s Encrypt: this is highly recommended. Insert your email address to receive important notifications and warnings.
- Git Support: you can choose if you want remote Git or on a local repository.
When everything is filled in, click OK
.
The subdomain is now created. If everything went successfully, you will see a green bar at the top.
