Learn how to create an FTP account in Plesk
In this article, you will learn how to create an FTP account in Plesk. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is a standard network protocol used for the transfer of computer files between a client and server on a computer network. FTP is built on a client-server model architecture using separate control and data connections between the client and the server.
Prerequisites
Step 1: Log in on your Client area.
Go to https://my.snel.com/clientarea/
and log in with your credentials
Go to Services
in the left side panel.
Select Webhosting
under the services
tab.
Select the product you want to use.
Select Login Details
in the left side panel.
Click on the URL to go to Plesk.
Use the given username and password to log in to Plesk.
Step 2: Create a new FTP account.
Select FTP Access
next to the red arrow.
Select Add an FTP Account
on the left.
Fill in the empty fields:
- FTP account name: Type a desired name.
- Home directory: Select the directory to which the user will be taken when he or she connects to the FTP account.
- Password: Type a desired password.
Once you are done click on OK
to proceed.
If everything went successfully, you will be able to see the green indicator next to the red arrow.
