How to check backup size in Acronis Backup Cloud

Introduction

Managing backup storage is essential for efficient data protection. This guide walks you through the steps to check backup sizes in the Acronis Management Console, including how to view both active and deleted backups that remain due to the immutable backup security feature. Knowing your backup size can help you optimize storage usage and plan for future needs.

Step 1: Login to the Acronis Management Console

Login to the client area and navigate to Extra Services and click on (Managed) Acronis Cyber Protect Backup.

Next up, click on Access Backup Control Panel. Here, you will find the necessary login details to access the Acronis Management Console. Click on Click here to access Control Panel, this will redirect you to the login page for the Management Portal.

Step 2: Find out how much backup space is used

Once you are logged into the Management Console, on the tab Backup Storage, select the cloud storage that you want to check the backup size of. Here you will be able to see the size of the backups, refer to the red arrows as shown in the screenshot below.

After logging into the Management Console, navigate to the Backup Storage tab and choose the cloud storage you wish to check. You’ll see the backup size displayed here—look for the red arrows in the screenshot below for the exact locations.

Step 3: View individual backups

To view all backups, simply click on Show Backups, indicated by the number 3 in the screenshot in Step 2. This will open a menu on the right side, where you can see all individual backups and perform actions such as recovery or deletion of backups.

Step 4: View deleted backups

Deleted backups remain as part of the immutable storage security feature. For more information about immutable storage, please refer to our knowledge base article on Immutable Storage.

By default, deleted backups are hidden from view. To enable visibility for deleted backups, you have two options:

  1. Click on Show Deleted indicated by the number 2 in the screenshot in Step 2
  2. Click on Show Deleted after you opened the menu with all individual backups as shown in the screenshot below

After selecting Show Deleted, the list of backups will update to include deleted backups.

The deleted backups will be at the bottom of the list of backups.
